What I have been up To

The days and weeks go so fast. I made this small quilt for a mini quilt swap it was to be no bigger than 24”square. I used  a charm pack and some white backing fabric . It is a pattern I adapted from the Moda Bake Shop.New Beginnings mini quilt

I can’t manage to get my pictures on flickr and am still waiting for my swap to arrive.

I also made a Jelly Roll Race quilt, everyone is either making them or talking about them, I did this one when I was up at the house.

Well Gary Yes ‘that’s  the dog I,m talking about thought it was great.!  I’ll add some borders to make it a little bigger.  Plus all the hand applique on my Dancing Dollies is still happening .

Latest Project…

Hmmm I really didn’t need to start a new project, but the girls I meet up with decided we should do a Dancing Dollies Quilt. The one proposed was a Naive Dancing Dollies Sampler by Brigette  Giblin in repro type fabrics or you could use what you  liked…..Then Karen said she had found one by Trish Harper.   I liked that better so bought the pattern on line and have now started. Here are some of my dollies and there is still a bit to do to each in the way of  embellishment etc.IMG_1416

I am using Flower Sugar from Lecien,  So Pretty

I guess this quilt will go To Miss Talula who has just started dancing classes.

Missing in Action Again……..

Gosh where do the days and weeks go.?

I promise my self I will blog more but the days just run away, my biggest issue with bloggging Is the photo side of it . I have so much trouble with downloading my photos to the computer then finding them again not very technological….is that a word.

Well  I am happy to say I have been doing some quilting  and stitching, but not as much as I’d like. I have the awful job of sorting and packing 14 years of accumulated  stuff ! We will be moving later this year to our new Home at Moore Park Beach. The House is Finished ! We are slowly moving things up there and I have a new Studio . IMG_0335IMG_0336IMG_0338IMG_0339

The closer we got to Warwick the better the weather became . This is Glenrose Patchwork where they had the annual airing of the quilts. A lovely Patchwork Shop and little cabins where they do Patchwork Retreats We all had a great day.I will take some pics of my purchases next time !IMG_1175
