Art Quilt Outback Sunset

I haven't done a lot of Arty Stuff lately but did make this little quilt to send for a swap. It has gone to Patsy in the U.S.A. I used the embellishe to make a felted base and then we had to use Machine embroidery and Free Motion Embroidery too. This one is of an old Hotel in the Outback at Sunset.

The Stunning Stable Bag

Yes I know another Bag.!! This one is really neat, a bit tricky to follow the pattern instructions, but that could just be me ! I am visual, I love the way when you pull the bag open, you have this really big bag to put all your good stuff In !!but it doesn't dissapear , It's easy to find what your looking for. Hayley wants one for a baby bag. She picked the fabrics from the shop the other day, Her first forray into a quilt shop.!! She didn't know it could be so difficult to choose 3 matching fabrics..........

Talula's Pink Quilt

I made this for my 1st and probablly only grandaughter Talula, It reminds me of Coconut Ice YUM! It is lovely with all the different textures fom the Chennilles and Minke so soft and cuddly.

Charm Party Tote !

Here is the Charm Party Tote !! Its a nice size and quite firm as they use pellon on the lining and the bag, I also put a fabric covered base into the bottom so it will stand on its own.! Has 2 big pockets inside and i love the little envelope pocket on the outside.

New projects Finished !!!

I thought it was time to add a couple of new projects Here.! These fabrics are so pretty. It's called Maypole By Moda, and the pattern is the Charm Party Tote by Penny Sturges, easy to make from all those yummy charm packs .

Deb's 50th Birthday Quilt !

Well this one breaks all Records, I cut the squares on Wednesday Night sewed them all together at Sew CrazyQuilters our weekly group On Thursday Morning , and finished it off this morning, I sat out in the sun and did the snipping then washed it to fluff it up. ! The party for Deb is tomorrow night and it's all done !! She loves antiques and old things, so I think the fabrics I have chosen for her, will suit.

Baby Quilt for Talula !

This quilt is also finished.!! It's for my new grand daughter who is supposed to arrive sometime in the next week or so.!! after 2 grandsons this will be a nice change.I bought the kit for this one while on Holidays in NZ last Christmas.

Is It a U F O.?

Well Is this really a UFO.? I bought these yummy flannels about 2 years ago, and I started to cut squares for a raggy quilt, I cut about 7, then it got sidelined for a couple of years...... I pulled it out last week and It is now finished, and oh so snuggly for these cool nights we have been having it needs another wash to help the fluffy seams, I did use a teddy bear fur brush on it and that worked quite well.

SUNSHINE !!

Well, I seem to have lost a Month or 2! Well I have been busy, This is a picture of a quilt I have finished !! I called it Sunshine as that was the name of the fabric in the quilt, A Jelly roll by Moda, It is a large single in size, and is very fresh and pretty, I quilted it myself on my Husqvarna mega Quilter and Next Generation Frame. I started this one in January at a retreat I went to at Alexandra Headlands.

New Rulers

Well look at that wonky wiggle, Well actually it is supposed to be there, I bought some new rulers at the end of January, I took them out of the packaging and made up this piece. Its called the Wave Edge, and you can use it to make blocks or just use the bigger side for a scalloped edge around a quilt . There are 2 rulers one large one small. I then made the piece into a cute little Bag. I also tried Matilda's own fusible wadding That's in the Bag for extra stability, It's as good as pellon and works out a lot cheaper as it was 240 wide
