Bitten By The PostCard Bug!!

Well a few weeks ago I was introduced to fabric postcards. I joined a couple of online groups and have been making cards to themes chosen, and swapping with somelovely girls and guys from the Usa and England and Australia.
It is giving me the oportunity to try new techniques and practise free motion quilting.

I am presently working on several things at once, I have lots of fabric in my stash, and am always thinking about what to make next even though I haven't finished the last thing. This week I had a play with some fabric Postcards, now this is fun, I have always done craft but only worked with fabric in the last couple of years. I can see how the postcards could grow into wall hangings. There is so much you can do to the postcards .This one of the fish is my first. I took some hand dyed fabric, also the first I had dyed using Procion Dyes, and then appliqued the fish and seaweed on. Then free motion quilted. There is room for further embellishment. It was a lot of fun watching it grow
